Micah and I decided to make Mint Cookies for Daddy's Birthday.  Gordon turns 29 on Thursday!  Micah decided that we needed to do Mint Cookies because they are green...both Daddy and Micah are a big fan of green - Thank you John Deere!

Later in the evening, Gordon and I put together Sophia's Christmas Present!  Now if we can keep it hidden for just 2 more days!  Friday we celebrate Christmas between the four of us!  Looking for a day to just spend enjoying our family!!

Sledding Before the Snow Melts...

Last week Daddy took Micah sledding - they were joined by Jaci, Taran, Amber and Candy. 
Sophia and I went out for just a few minutes (it was only 15 degrees outside, burrr!)

December is here!

It's been a busy month at our house!

This is my first week of not working over 70 hours a week in almost a month!  I started working at Ridgeview Medical Center in November as a second job!  It is a great opportunity for me to learn something new, but the training has been so much!

Gordon has spent lots and lots of time alone with our kiddos, and has done a fabolous job playing single dad!  THANK YOU BABE!!

Sophia and Micah continue to be so much fun!  Though trying at times, they make us laugh and smile more than we could ever imagine.  Sophia continues to grow - but is still stubborn in the communication department.  She loves the word "No" but we are still working to get her to say ANYTHING else!!  Occasionally we might hear, "up, please, mommy, daddy, milk, bowl, ball...."  She loves her big brother.  She likes to growl at Micah and get him to growl back.  They enjoy dancing and running our our home many evenings.  Micah is an awesome big brother.  He helps Sophie as much as he can, and is excited to help the new baby too!  He asked us if he can change the babies diapers, jury is still out on if that is possible:)  Micah is almost half done with his first year of preschool.  He has learned so much there.  He has also learned many bible verses at AWANA.  He continues to impress Gordon and I with everything he is learning day to day!  Micah has been very happy to finally see some snow on the ground.  And getting to open a few early Christmas presents!

Here are some random pictures from an evening at home this last week! 

Updates:
Micah is in preschool now!  He loves learning things at preschool, especially the songs.  He comes home singing a new song after each preschool day.  He is only going Mondays and Wednesdays - but LOVES it!
He has also started AWANA this year.  He is learning and memorizing scripture - and its fun to see him grow so much. 
Micah loves being a big brother and is always finding ways to help Sophia.  It is going to be a lot of fun to watch him with his new baby brother or sister too!  He is our big helper.  He loves to have his one on one time with  mommy and daddy - cuddling is his favorite past time!

Sophia is almost 2!  Sophia is our independent girl.  She listens and understands everything we say, but has decided so far, not to say much back to us.  Although I am pretty sure she can speak...she likes to just use her silly faces to make a statement:)  We love our girly girl to pieces - and she is momma's girl all the way.   She loves to try to keep up with her big brother and plays with him as much as she can!

Here are some september highlights!!

Daddy was gone from September 1st - 8th -- but we did enjoy the State Fair while he was in New York.  Papa, Nana & Uncle Clint joined us for a fun adventure of State Fair Food and Fun.
Micah, Sophia and Mommy also went to Minnetonka Orchards with some friends!

When daddy returned he spent a day at Hay Days on the Northside of the Twin Cities.  Enjoying test driving ATV's and spending time with his brother, Uncle Derek.

Mid-September brought about Mommy's friend Becky's Bachelorette Party!

And a week later, Mommy and Daddy had a weekend full of wedding festivities so Micah and Sophia spent the whole weekend with Papa & Nana. 

On Sunday - we all met at Apple Jack's Apple Orchard!

That's Right -- Our Family is Growing!!

Gordon and I are super excited to let everyone know that we are expecting Baby #3 in March of 2012!  What a blessing!!  Micah is super excited to be a big brother, and really wants a little brother to play with....Sophia hasn't quite caught on to our happy news yet:)  We will not be finding out what we are having but will be blessed to have either a little boy or a little girl!
