Micah Turns Four

Micah is FOUR years old.  We celebrated his fourth birthday just a week ago.  He was so excited to celebrate- eat cake and brownies -and play with friends!  We celebrated by starting the weekend at the Monticello "Walk & Roll" Event.  Sophia received her first helmet - TOO CUTE!

Micah enjoyed riding his bike almost the whole 3/4 of a mile as we visited booths along the way to earn a chance to win something in the end - each booth we stopped at gave us a Path port stamp!  Once we completed at least 20 stops with our path port we were entered into the drawing!

After what ended up being a long morning of being out and about, we came Papa and Nana's house to open presents and have some cupcakes (Micah helped Nana make the cupcakes the day before!)  Micah had a lot of fun opening a few special gifts:  a guitar, baseball glove, remote control car and video game from uncle Clint and a cars shirt, some cars undies, and 9 dinosaurs!  Everything has been a hit at our  house for sure!!

After a fun day with Nana and Papa - we came back to our house!  The next day was Father's Day and Micah's Birthday Party with his friends!!  We went to church - took daddy to breakfast at Perkins, and then got ready for 20 people to celebrate Micah once more.  We played, opened presents, had a BBQ, and enjoyed some CARS cupcakes!  What a wonderful weekend with family and friends!

We are blessed to have a wonderful little boy who turned 4!

I am blessed with a wonderful husband who has been rock solid for our family!  His ability to get down and play with our kids, have constant energy, support us wholly and serve an Awesome God is only a few of the reasons why I love him so much!!

Micah and Sophia - What's New

Another fun week - exhausting but fun!  This week Micah started VBS for the first time.  He turned 4 on Monday which meant that he was able to participate in this years Westwood VBS program that started on Monday.  He has had such a blast.  It's been so fun to see the energy that he has from learning about Jesus!  Although I have to admit that late nights to not sit well with our precious little man!  (Whiny and tired - but still worth it!)

Sophia enjoyed her evenings with our family friends.  Fontine Matzke and her daughter, Lauren, hung out with Sophia all week.  That way Sophia could get to bed on time vs. staying up as late as her brother!  She is almost a walker...getting so close!!   Each time she gets more excited that she is doing it!  We cheer her on...although she loves walking to mommy more than anyone else.  I am sure in the next few weeks she will be solid in her walking stills, and trying to keep up with her super quick brother, Micah!  For now, we are enjoying her in this stage.  She has become so much more of a little toddler and less of a baby over the last month.  It is so fun to see her learning and trying to figure things out.

She is surely a momma's girl!  I am enjoying the time that I have with her...hopefully my dear friends can help me get better in the doing hair and outfitting arena:)

Although our little princess doesn't have many words yet - she has her own personality!  Each day she makes us laugh with her little "ways".  Watching her and Micah is just precious, you can tell how much they love each other!
