Micah’s favorite part of the MN Zoo is the splash pad!  Sophia also found it to be quite entertaining as well.  We were sure to visit the farm, the sea life and the bear cave!  We also enjoyed lunch with Uncle Clint!

Sophia is 18 months!

Yesterday, Sophia turned 18 months.  She now has all four of her molars. She is getting quite a little personality although she is deciding to keep her communication to a minimum.  We have heard very few works from our little girl.  She is constantly dancing to the music, humming and making noise but is choosing to keep us on our toes for those little words to come out!

She is a walking machine!  Although she was a later walker for sure - she has found her ground and gets around!  It is fun to see her explore and try to see what her older brother is up to!

Micah LOVES being a big brother.  We are so blessed to have a big boy who really cares about his little sister and wants the best for her...most of the time!  His favorite past time is playing super hero and wrestling with daddy.  He keeps asking me if it is going to snow...I guess he takes after his daddy (just a little bit!!)

Camping!

Last weekend we had a family camping trip planned with three other couples and their kids!  We were super excited to spend the weekend at Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Camp Ground in Lino Lakes area - but Friday night weather made us change our plans!

Instead of camping on Friday night - We spent an evening at the Matzke's new home - eating Pizza, Play the Wii, Watching Movies, and Playing games!  It was a blast.  We then spent the night in the Wasson's living room, "camping out".   Saturday morning we got up to get ready, headed back to the Matzke's for our "camp ready" breakfast, and then headed to Bunker Beach Water park for a day of fun!  The kids had a great time in the water and so did we!!  We raced down the water slides, tried to conquer the wave pool, and enjoyed the lazy river!  The kids spent much of their time in the playground pool!

Saturday night we headed to the campground and set up camp.  It was HOT.  We enjoyed a yummy super, some tasty dessert and some fun fellowship together!

It was great to spend time with friends - even with the heat and bad weather!  We are blessed with some awesome friendships - and I think our kids are too!

Above is Gordon, Megan and Micah – we are wearing our Flag Shirts compliments of Nana (she brought them back from Washington D.C.)  Sophia has one too…but we didn’t start fireworks until long after Sophie’s bedtime…keep watching for a full family picture!
