Its Fall...

We took our annual trip to the Apple Orchard today. Papa, Nana, Uncle Clint, Amanda and our clan!  What a fun day with family.  Micah, Sophia and Mason enjoyed lots of activities in the outdoors and it was a beautiful day for it!  It was also the day we found out that Uncle Clint and his girlfriend Amanda are engaged:) WAHOO!

The beach

The kids enjoyed their first trip to Lake Waconia beach this weekend. They didn't really get in the water but enjoyed playing in the sand with daddy. Mason and mommy camped out under a big umbrella on the beach.

Two Weeks In...

What a beautiful summer we are having.  I am two weeks in to being at home and wouldn't trade a second of it.  Everyday I get up, workout and spend the day with my little loves.  I am still working on finding a balance so that I can get all the things that need to be done - done, but am enjoying just spending time with the kids right now and hoping a routine will soon follow:)

Over last week we celebrated Micah's 5th Birthday.  He has grown into such a great young man and I can not wait to see how much his matures and grows this coming year.  Here are some pictures from an incredible week with our Micah and his little sister and brother!!

This is it..

This is my last week at Cargill.  I am excited about the new adventure that I will be taking as a stay at home mom.  Gordon and I have contemplated, discussed, prayed and challenged ourselves to make the best decision for our family. We think this is it!  Friday June 15th will be my last day as a Cargill employee.  Monday I will start a new chapter!  Micah is most excited about the change.  He looks forward to having time at home to play with his toys, read his books and play at the playground!  Sophia will be excited when she understands the change:)

A few updates on the kids too:
Micah is done with his first year of preschool.  The changes we have seen this past year have been so fun!  He knows his alphabet, lots of #'s and a lot of other stuff too.  He met some friends at preschool that he talks about often, and has many real interactions with Gordon and I.   I love his thoughts and questions.  A few weeks ago in the car, he was asking me why I knew so much about driving.  I responded by telling him that I had learned by taking classes and practicing behind the wheel - but that daddy was even better at driving than I was.  He then said, "Then why are you always telling daddy how to drive!"  Gotta love candor of a four year old!
Sophia is starting to say more words again.  She loves to copy me when we are praying.  She says "I want mom" constantly - her and Micah go back and forth saying it.  It makes us all laugh.  She has got the sweetest faces and loves to wrinkle her nose to get me to smile!  That girl has got some major personality - and we LOVE it.  She has even learned to cross her arms when she doesn't want to do something. (I have to turn away from her because it makes me laugh every time!)  Micah always call Sophia, Soph!
Both Micah and Sophie are so excited to see Mason everyday.  It is such a blessing to see the love between siblings!  They help each other and care about each other, its so fun to see and I hope we continue to see that through their growing years.
Mason is such a charmer.  His smile melts my heart daily.  He loves to blow bubbles and kick his legs.  He gets excited to just spend time "talking" to mommy, daddy or any of his grandparents.  He is a growing boy - and is already in 9 month clothes at just 3 months old.  Although he is not rolling over yet, I think it will be just a few short weeks before he starts making his move!

Micah the Preschooler!

Micah has less than two months left of his first year of preschool.  He has learned so much this past year and has grown up a lot.  He is our big helper for sure.  He can write his name!  So fun!!  Micah is all about being fast, doing things fast and wrestling with daddy.  He enjoys ever minute that he gets to spend outside.

Although we didn't get much snow this year, the few times when we did have snow, daddy, micah and sophia spent time enjoying it and making a snow fort!  We look forward to spring, summer and many many evenings of playing outside with Micah.

Micah really loves helping daddy with the cleaning in the garage too.  This weekend was garage spring cleaning, and washing the car.  Micah did a great job of cleaning with daddy!

Sophia is officially a toddler...

Although Sophia became a two year old a month and a half ago - she was still my little peanut.  It was just after Mason joined our family that I realized what a big girl she is.  Sophia is learning more words everyday.  Currently her favorites are: "Don't want to, Don't want it, Mason, Micah, I want to, I am Two"  Its fun to hear her saying more things all the time.  Her vocabulary is bigger than I know - I am just learning to make out the words that she is saying:)

Sophia has also started really loving her dolls.  She spends time feeding and cuddling them.  She cuddles the most with her strawberry shortcake doll.

Sophia is my cuddle bug.  She loves being as close as she can - and sucking on her bottom lip to sooth herself.

Two Weeks - and Counting

Mason turned two weeks old today.  He is growing so fast.  Its hard to believe that just two weeks ago, we didn't even know we were having a baby boy!

Micah and Sophia are so excited about their brother Mason.  They each spend time holding him and playing with him each day.  It is so fun to see them as siblings.  I look forward to watching them grow and become better friends over the years.

Mason had a rough go into the world, with a bacterial infection in his eye at 6 days old (we ended up at the ER.) He also has had an interesting time with feeding but two weeks in we have the hang of it all.  His eye is healed and his feeding is going so well.

INTRODUCING MASON LEVI...

Our little man decided that March 6 was his day to enter the world regardless of our scheduled C-section for that day anyway!  Monday March 5 in the evening I began having contractions that only continued to get stronger until I called the hospital at 2:30 am letting them know that we were on our way.  When we got to the hospital I was dialated to 4 and was contracting every couple of minutes.

After a few calls with the doctor, they decided to move my c-section up from 9:30 that morning to as soon as they could get it done.  Although this c-section was different than the others.  Due to a low platelet count, I was put under general anethsia for the birth of Mason.  This meant that I was not awake when he was born.  This part was a little bit sad for me, it took me about an hour after Mason was born to be able to find out we had a baby BOY!

Mason Levi was born at 5:12 am weighing 7 Ibs 2 oz and was 19 1/ inch long.  He had very dark eyes and a good amount of light brown hair.
Sophia and Micah we so excited to welcome baby brother home!  Micah is such a great big brother helping in any way that he can - Sophia is following suit and helping out too.

We are blessed in so many ways by baby Mason, and by Micah and Sophia.  They show us the meaning of real God - given Love.  The love that he has for us that we only can experience through those we love!
