This is my last week at Cargill. I am excited about the new adventure that I will be taking as a stay at home mom. Gordon and I have contemplated, discussed, prayed and challenged ourselves to make the best decision for our family. We think this is it! Friday June 15th will be my last day as a Cargill employee. Monday I will start a new chapter! Micah is most excited about the change. He looks forward to having time at home to play with his toys, read his books and play at the playground! Sophia will be excited when she understands the change:)
A few updates on the kids too:
Micah is done with his first year of preschool. The changes we have seen this past year have been so fun! He knows his alphabet, lots of #'s and a lot of other stuff too. He met some friends at preschool that he talks about often, and has many real interactions with Gordon and I. I love his thoughts and questions. A few weeks ago in the car, he was asking me why I knew so much about driving. I responded by telling him that I had learned by taking classes and practicing behind the wheel - but that daddy was even better at driving than I was. He then said, "Then why are you always telling daddy how to drive!" Gotta love candor of a four year old!
Sophia is starting to say more words again. She loves to copy me when we are praying. She says "I want mom" constantly - her and Micah go back and forth saying it. It makes us all laugh. She has got the sweetest faces and loves to wrinkle her nose to get me to smile! That girl has got some major personality - and we LOVE it. She has even learned to cross her arms when she doesn't want to do something. (I have to turn away from her because it makes me laugh every time!) Micah always call Sophia, Soph!
Both Micah and Sophie are so excited to see Mason everyday. It is such a blessing to see the love between siblings! They help each other and care about each other, its so fun to see and I hope we continue to see that through their growing years.
Mason is such a charmer. His smile melts my heart daily. He loves to blow bubbles and kick his legs. He gets excited to just spend time "talking" to mommy, daddy or any of his grandparents. He is a growing boy - and is already in 9 month clothes at just 3 months old. Although he is not rolling over yet, I think it will be just a few short weeks before he starts making his move!
